Characteristics and symptoms:
Vomiting is the involuntary, forceful expulsion of the contents of the stomach through the mouth due to the dysfunction of stomach and the reversed flow of stomach qi. Vomiting could be divided into three types: emesis with both content and sound, emesis with content only, and emesis with sound only (retching). In the clinic, they often occur simultaneously.


Acupoint selection:
Ren-12 (Zhongwan), Ren-8 (Shenque), P-6 (Neiguan), ST-36 (Zusanli), KID-1 (Yongquan)


Course of treatment: 15 to 20 min per acupoint, once a day.


Take a light diet. Avoid eating sweet, fatty and greasy food. Please see the doctor early once with the presence of following symptoms (fever and chills, cough, running nose, abdominal pain and distension, diarrhea, headache, cramp, unconsciousness).



Ren-12 (Zhongwan):
on the upper abdomen, on the anterior midline, 4 cun superior to the umbilicus.


Ren-8 (Shenque):
in the center of the umbilicus.

神闕穴: ヘソの中央にある。

P-6 (Neiguan):
2 cun proximal to the anterior transverse wrist crease, between the tendons of the palmaris longus and flexor carpi radialis muscles.

内関穴: 手首の横紋の上方2寸、長掌筋腱と橈側手根屈筋の間。

ST-36 (Zusanli):
3 cun distal to ST-35 (Dubi, lateral eye of the knee) and 1 finger-breadth lateral to the anterior crest of the tibia, on the line of ST-35 (Dubi) and ST-41 (Jiexi).

足三里: 小腿の外側、犢鼻の下方3寸、犢鼻と解渓の直結線上にある。

KID-1 (Yongquan):
on the sole of the foot, in a depression between the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones, at the junction of the anterior third and the posterior two-thirds of the sole.

涌泉穴: 足裏の第 2、3趾間の皺の先端と、踵との直結線の、前の1/3と後ろの2/3の接点の所。
